2018 Flag Football Schedule

How do I sign my child up to play?

• You can pay fees online with a credit or debit card or pay cash at one of the in-store registration.
• Registration is only open until 2/26/2018.

What is the player registration fee?

• The fee to participate is $100.00.
• You will be provided an NFL Flag game jersey/t-shirt, flags & flag belt.
• Equipment will be issued after you are placed on a team.
• Fees must be paid in full by 2/26/2018 to be considered registered.

What additional equipment is needed?

• Shorts or Athletic Pants without pockets
• Strapless Mouthguard
• Cleats
• Cup is an optional item

When does the season begin and end?

• Sign-ups end on February 26, 2018.
• Players will be placed on teams via a computerized blind draft.
• Players will be notified of their coach and team on 3/3/2018 at the Parent Meeting.  Anyone not in attendance will be contacted by their coach.
• The first games will be played on March 18, 2018.
• League Picture Day is scheduled for March 25, 2018.
• Championship will be played on June 10, 2018.

What days and times are games played on?

• All games are played on Sunday.
• The first game will begin at 1:00pm.
• The last game will begin at 6:00pm.

Where will games be played?

• Played at Mundy Memorial Park one of four fields

Where and when will practices be held?

• Teams will be able to practice four (4) times at Mundy Park prior to opening day during the weeks of 3/5/18 and 3/12/18. The days are TBD by MJYFC.
• Subsequent practices will be held for one and a half hours on Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays.  TBD after teams are set.

What are the age group break downs and divisions?

• 5 - 7 yr. olds Mighty Tykes Division
• 8 - 10 yr. olds Semi Pro Division
• 11 - 13 yr. olds Pro Division
• 14 - 17 yr. olds All Pro Division

Each Division will have an even team as set by a blind draft.

No coach has the ability to stack a team and they do not know who they are getting prior to their blind draw of their team. (Only head coach is allowed to keep their own child).  No head coaches are allowed to pick assistant coaches prior to draft. They can utilize a parent for an assistant after the draft.

Player age is determined as of July 31, 2018.

• A copy the players certified birth certificate is required to participate.
• Age examples:

+ If player is 4 yrs. old today and will turn 5 on or before July 31, 2018 then they are eligible to play.
+ If player is 17 yrs. old today and turns 18 on or before July 31, 2018 then they are not eligible to play.

When will I find out who my child’s coach is?

A parent/player meeting will be held on March 3, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Mundy Park.

How many players are on a team?

Each team must have a minimum of 5 players and a maximum of 10 players.
